WHAT TO BRING

  • BYOB, Bring Your Own Bucket: 5-gallon bucket or planter pot with 1-in holes drilled into the sides, laundry basket, milk crate or crate for vegetables. Any container with holes in it will work. Don’t buy anything new. We recommend looking for recycled materials and delis and restaurants always have food grade buckets they throw away that can be recycled.

  • Notebook & Pen: To take notes!

  • Mug: because we will have Reishi, hibiscus, ginger tea.

IS THIS FOR ME?

This community workshop is great for individuals and families and no previous experience growing mushrooms is necessary.  Kids under 12 are free and must be accompanied by an adult. You will walk away with the knowledge of:

  1. Basic mycology terms and understanding of types of fungi as it relates to plants.

  2. How to use recycled blocks and grow mushrooms in the garden alongside your vegetables and perennials

  3. How to use blocks and grow mushrooms in containers
