In this hands-on workshop, you will learn:

  • Which mushrooms are considered to be "functional" or "medicinal" to humans

  • What are the reported health benefits (or downsides) to consuming functional mushrooms

  • Which compounds that exist in mushrooms are reportedly beneficial to our health

  • Where to find the latest published research

  • What is a mushroom "extract" or "tincture"

  • Single, Double and Triple Extraction methods for obtaining your desired compounds

  • A repeatable process and formula that you can use to create future extracts

Each participant leaves with an in-process half pint jar containing 80% alcohol of lion’s mane. After a week, you can extract that into a tincture and use it as-is or perform the double extraction step. We will demonstrate three ways to extract and will provide digital links to the step-by-step process.
