SOLD OUT: Mushroom Walk + Swim on the Comal River on Sept. 10

from $5.00
sold out

Friday, September 10, 2021 at 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

We would like to invite y’all to come on an evening walk with, your friendly neighborhood mushroom man, Sam the Fungi. The walk will be along the Comal River near Hinman Island in New Braunfels.

We are going to be exploring this riparian area where this massive Xylaria polymorpha commonly known as Dead Man’s Fingers was found! Since it’s near a river, there is a lot of consistent humidity in this area and with our recent rains, the mushrooms are popping!

Bring your swimsuit if you’d like to take a dip in the river. There are some mushrooms growing along the banks that we can swim up to!

Meeting location will be sent to ticket holders the day before the meet-up.

Member ($5) and non-member ($10) tickets are available. Sign-up for a membership to get discounts on workshops, walks, and mycology related events.
