Friday October 8, 2021. / 10 am - 12 pm / Olmos Basin Park in San Antonio, TX

Join your friendly neighborhood mushroom Sam the Fungi, at the Olmos Basin Park. With the recent rain some great mushrooms have started to pop up! πŸ”

Bring water, your notebook, and a bag for any samples to start your mushroom collection. We want identify as many mushrooms as possible using iNaturalist and field guides. This event is great for people that want to sharpen their ID skills. You do not need to be an expert or CTMS member to participate, this is a learning opportunity and the more eyes and cameras photographing mushrooms we have the more we will discover. Let's explore this area and find mushroom species together!

Before you arrive download the app iNaturalist to your smart phone to catalog your finds. Bring any mushroom identification books that you have as well.

Tickets are limited and are $5 for Members and $10 for non-member. Sign-up for a membership to get discounts on workshops, walks, and mycology related events.

Family friendly. Kids under 12 are free and must be accompanied by an adult.

Mushroom grow blocks for everyone that attends.
