IN-PERSON / OUTDOOR EVENT

DATE: Sunday, October 17, 2021

TIME: 2-5 PM

LOCATION: Central Austin

Join Forage.atx from CTMS and the Odditree Society for a 6-mile bicycle ride through Central Austin to observe beautiful, heritage and sometimes odd oak trees and look for the choice culinary mushroom chicken-of-the-woods (Laetiporus).

This event is for people that want to sharpen their ID skills and learn about the fungi queendom. You do not need to be an expert or CTMS member to participate- this is a learning opportunity and the more eyes we have the more we will discover together.

Liability waiver must be signed by all participants. Helmets are recommended and lights are required after dark. The pace will be easy-going and non-strenuous, but is not recommended for children or inexperienced cyclists. We will be riding in bike lanes near vehicle traffic.

If you don't have a bike, there are if you docking stations and bike shares near the starting point.

Tickets are limited and are $10 for Members and $20 for non-members. Sign-up for a membership to get discounts on workshops, walks, and mycology related events.
