Marysol Mushrooms Leo Birthday Bash
FORAY + FARM TOUR + LUNCH
Saturday, August. 7, 2021 | 10 AM TO 3 PM | BASTROP, TX
Join Central Texas Mycological Society and Marysol from her brand new mushroom farm in Bastrop for a family friendly celebration combining a bunch of the things we love about mushrooms. It’s Leo season and both Marysol and Angel's birthdays and we have a full day of activities planned.
We will begin with a mushroom ID walk with Angel to explore and learn the diverse ecosystem of the Bastrop forest.
At noon we will have a Lion’s Mane Lunch cooked by our friends at Storehouse Market & Eatery. We will have Reishi watermelon tea to keep everyone cool. Since it’s Marysol and Angel’s birthday there will be a surprise, sweet mushroom treat.
The final event is the tour of the farm which is in the early stages of its growth. We want to encourage attendance of those interested in seeing how mushrooms are cultivated as well as seasoned mushroom farmers that are curious and have advice to share. There will be lion's mane grow kits for sale, agar plates and small liquid culture jars pre-sterilized for anyone who wants to take cultures or bring them. As if this all isn’t enough fun, there will be a craft area set up for kids to make mushroom art! We can’t wait to celebrate the sun with you!
