Join us for a evening of family-friendly exploration of flora, fauna and funga fun as Circle Acres Preserve transforms into a Fluorescent Forest! Explore the hidden world of mycelium networks through a glow-in-the-dark outdoor adventure game, hands-on mycelium skull making, and nocturnal ecosystem exploration.
Highlights:
Fluorescent Forest Adventure: Discover glowing mushrooms, lichens, and nocturnal wildlife with provided flashlights and play glow in the dark bingo.
Costume Contest: Dress as your favorite mushroom, animal, insect or plant.
Hands-On Demos: Upcycle mushroom blocks for gardening, mycoremediation, and soil-building and making mycelium skulls.
Family Activities: Mushroom crafts, costume contests, and guided tours of the restored dumpsite-turned-forest.
Community Science: Contribute to iNaturalist by documenting fluorescing organisms.

Want to be part of the magic behind the Fluorescent Forest? We need enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this glowing night to life! From setting up our UV wonderland to managing glow games and helping with cleanup, there's a role for everyone. Volunteers will receive a special glow-in-the-dark token of our appreciation and the satisfaction of helping our fungal community shine
