We will be joining our friends at Fruitful Commons and Festival Beach Food Forest and friends for a Fall Equinox Celebration & Solar Cookout — a fun community celebration centered around local food and climate resilience.

There will be an abundance of food, art, games, educational programs and activities for all ages. Highlights include a passive solar oven cooking competition, presentations from solar cooking experts, and a showcase of the vision plan for the Farah Rivera-Ortiz Cocina de la Cosecha (Harvest Kitchen) at Festival Beach Food Forest. 

We will have mushroom blocks that you can take home to grow more mushrooms and compost with. We will have our new zine “Quest to Regenerate Soil” with recipes on preserving mushrooms and quests on how to become more soil and solar punk.
