We will be at EcoFest with TreeFolks giving away mushroom blocks and trees. Come learn how to use mushroom blocks to help your trees thrive!
There will be kids arts and crafts, tree climbing, live music, neighborhood food, a fire truck, and appearances by Congressmen Lloyd Doggett. There will be representatives from local environmental and climate organizations like Sierra Club, Austin Climate Parents and Bat Conservation International.
Tree Folks will give away over 500 drought tolerant trees of various species, both tall shade trees and mid-size to fit any yard situation. Austin residents are eligible for two trees. Please use the link below to let Tree Folks know you are interested in free trees. There will be tree planting demonstrations during the event. Free Mulch will be available with bags to carry it home.
Trees and mushroom blocks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
We are also looking for volunteers to help at the event. Wear your favorite mushroom outfit and sign-up here.

This activity zine is made possible through the Healthy Soils, Healthy Trees program, a community science and art initiative exploring the connections between soil health, urban forests, and mycology in Central Texas. Funded by the City of Austin Urban Forestry Grant.
