Join us as we blast off into a new era of community-powered mycology! 🚀 We are building a brand-new community lab inside a AirFlyte Caravan, and we want YOU to be part of the mission.

To celebrate, we’re hosting a Spore Corps Launch with mushroom bites, and DIY fun. Our friend Mike from Armadillo Myco Supply will lead a hands-on demo on how to build a flow hood—one of the most essential tools for sterile mushroom cultivation. The hood we build together will live in the new lab, and you’ll take home a schematic and shopping list so you can create your own at home!

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the lab-in-progress before it comes to life.

SporeCorps isn’t your average class…it’s a mission. Across three livestreamed “missions” from Ezlyh’s home lab, you’ll learn how to transform your kitchen table or garage into a launchpad for fungi. Think atomic-age science camp meets fungal resistance movement complete with retro mission patches, glitchy lab vibes, and a growing squadron of DIY growers and food justice advocates.

Here’s the flight plan:

If you miss a class, you will also get access to the recordings.

🌌 Mission 1: Building a Home Lab on a Budget (Sept 28)

Assemble your toolkit like a spore-faring astronaut. Learn how mushrooms grow, what tools actually matter, and how to MacGyver clean air and temperature control without maxing your budget. You’ll see real-life home labs and leave with a checklist to set up your own.

🌌 Mission 2: Inoculation, Spore Work & Cloning (Oct 6)

Time to fuel your mission. Learn sterile techniques, work with spores, clone mushrooms onto agar, and spot contamination before it mutinies. You’ll gain confidence handling cultures and walk away ready to keep your grow shipshape.

🌌 Mission 3: Fruiting, Incubation & Harvest (Oct 13)

Prepare for launch into fruiting! Explore substrates, incubation timing, fruiting chamber tricks, and how to troubleshoot issues. By the end, you’ll know how to harvest and store your own mushrooms and have the confidence to keep growing again and again.

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • 🛠 Practical Skills: A full toolkit for home cultivation, from sterile checklists to troubleshooting know-how.

  • 🌐 Digital Boosters: Class recordings, supply lists, and entry into our SporeCorps alumni network (plus Discord for extra fungal camaraderie).

  • 🏆 Rewards: Your very own SporeCorps Level 1 Certificate, mission patch, and some cheeky contamination stickers to remind you that even failure can fruit.

Why Join?

Because mushrooms are more than food. They’re soft rebellions, tiny teachers, and allies in resilience. SporeCorps is a place to experiment, to fail joyfully, and to join a growing community of mycologists. Whether you’re here for food security, environmental justice, or just because you’ve always wanted to grow something weird and wonderful, we’ve saved you a seat in the launch pod.
