Join us at The Very 'Rary 2025, The Contemporary Austin’s annual all-ages afternoon of art and amazement! We’ll be leading a hands-on mushroom printmaking activity on tote bags, celebrating the beauty and biodiversity of fungi in Texas.
The totes feature original artwork by Bex Baker, highlighting Texas mushrooms, including Texas’s official state mushroom, the Texas Star (Chorioactis geaster). Participants will get to create their own one-of-a-kind mushroom print tote to take home!
In addition to mushroom printmaking, The Very ’Rary will feature an exciting lineup of creative experiences for all ages, including collaborative art projects, interactive performances, outdoor sculpture exploration, hands-on workshops, music, food, and more—transforming Laguna Gloria into a wonderland of art and imagination.
