Does not include the $5 entry fee to Lake Bastrop. Kids under 15 are always free.
With the much needed rain mushroom magic is happening. Join us at Lake Bastrop in the lost pines to observe and identify mushroom biodiversity using iNaturalist and field guides. We will learn how to identify culinary mushrooms as well as those to be cautious of. See the Destroying Angel that Angel observed last year. Rain or Shine.

Rain boots or closed-toe shoes or boots, long pants.
๐ What to bring
Water, Smartphone, SLR Camera, Bug Spray, snacks our sack lunch. We will be learning how to use the app iNaturalist to document our observations.

ABOUT THE WALK LEADER
Formerly an experience designer and animator in the tech world, she hopes to inspire more people dial into the wood-wide-web. Angel Schatz radiates passion for understanding the ecosystem of central Texas and making mycology education accessible to anyone who shares interest. She is a long-time urban gardener; harmonizing vegetable gardening and mushroom growing, particularly by using recycled mushroom blocks.
