With the much needed rain mushroom magic is happening. Learn how to forage wild edible mushroom using iNaturalist and field guides. Experts will teach you how to identify culinary mushrooms as well as those to be cautious of. The deadly Destroying Angel has been spotted several times the last few weeks in Texas.. Weβve started to see Chanterelles along with other choice edibles like wood ears. Rain or Shine.

A basket or paper bags for collecting specimens
A small knife for clean harvesting
Field guides and/or the iNaturalist app
Camera (smartphone or SLR)
Bug spray and sunscreen
Sturdy shoes suitable for walking on trails, waterproof shoes
Camping Gear (if you are camping)
We will be learning how to use the app iNaturalist to document our observations afterwards. Download the app beforehand.
