Roll up to the most fungi-forward spot on the Cyclovia route! We're mashing up the world of mycology with the joy of cycling featuring a Mushroom Block Giveaway & "Fungi-Fy Your Ride" Helmet Decorating Photo Booth. Mushroom Block Giveaway: Visit our decorated truck to take home a spent mushroom block! These blocks are packed with mycelium and are perfect for growing your own oyster mushrooms at home or composting into super-charged soil for your garden . We'll have educational guides on how to get the most out of your block and a chance to win prizes just by stopping by! "Fungi-Fy Your Ride" Photo Booth: Don a giant mushroom bike helmet and strike a spore-tastic pose for your fungi photo opp.
About Cyclovia
Cyclovia ATX is a Ghisallo Cycling Initiative event in partnership with the City of Austin and Get There ATX, with key support from Waymo, Woom Bikes, and Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers, along with Community and Activation Partners from all across Austin.
Cyclovia ATX is built by the community, for the community and aims to celebrate Austin’s vibrant cycling culture, sustainability and active transportation. We’re bringing together cyclists, families, neighbors, and community members to experience Austin by bike and connect with organizations that are helping make our city more accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable.
Cyclovia ATX is a free, family-friendly "open streets" festival in Austin that temporarily closes neighborhood roadways to motorized vehicles to create a safe, car-free space for the community. Here we enjoy the streets for exercise and recreation. Urban streets become a temporary public park where people can safely bike, walk, run, and explore local non-profits and civic groups
Attendees are HIGHLY encouraged to ride their bikes or utilize alternative transportation to get to the event.
About the Windsor Park Community Bike Parade
The group ride begins at Windsor Park Branch Library and is a mile in length. It is family-friendly, kid paced, and includes a full rolling enclosure stopping cross traffic at all major intersections.
Staging starts at 11 am with check-in, safety checks, and a group ride discussion. We will roll out at no later than 11:30am, and will arrive back at Windsor Park Branch Library before noon.
