SAN ANTONIO: Pollinator Tea Party

  • Confluence Park 310 West Mitchell Street San Antonio, TX, 78204 United States (map)

🗓️ Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026

⏰ Time: 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

📍 Location: Confluence Park

💚 Cost: Free with RSVP ($5 Suggested Donation for Blocks)

Join us at the San Antonio River Foundation’s Pollinator Tea Party for a hands-on lesson in nature’s recycling system! We’re hosting a Decomposition Relay—a fun, interactive game where participants become decomposers, tearing apart paper “leaves” to release “nutrients” and deliver them to a waiting plant. It’s a race to complete the cycle of life, and everyone who crosses the finish line wins a fascinating fungal fun fact. Plus, get an up-close look at mushroom blocks and see how fungi are cultivated right here in Central Texas. Come play with us and discover the hidden power of mushrooms and mycelium!

Mushroom blocks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

More About The Event

The Pollinator Tea Party is a free, family-friendly, zero-waste event that celebrates pollinators at Confluence Park!

Bee Our Guest! 🐝🫖

You are cordially invited to our Pollinator Tea Party, a FREE, family-friendly, zero-waste event that celebrates pollinators through immersive nature playscapes, environmental education, and sustainable practices during the spring Monarch Butterfly migration 🦋

Did you know pollinators are responsible for at least 1 of every 3 bites of food we eat? Learn how a healthy ecosystem connects to our culinary traditions through hands-on experiences including a “Pollinator Prowl” recipe scavenger hunt, fruit and shade tree adoption, and Critter Café in the Estela Avery Education Center. This event invites a multigenerational audience to explore the mini worlds within nature found in our backyards and neighborhood parks, fostering a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and environmental stewardship.
