Join us for our monthly Myco-Hangouts every first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm CST. Every meeting, a wonderful mycologist(s) join us to discuss their projects, perceptions, and pathways to a brighter future for all!
The POC Fungi Community is an intersectional community of QTBIPOC who are interested in all the intersections of Mycology, Eco justice, social justice, access to food and medicine, and relationship to fungi from cultures around the world. The POCFC is based out of Kumeyaay territory but considers itself to be a decentralized community.
For the CTMS February 4th meeting the POCFC will be presenting along with special guest Elan Hagens. Elan is a veteran mushroom forager based in Oregon and can be found every week at the Portland's farmers market with wild mushrooms with her company Temptress Truffles. Elan is also working with the Psilocybin Advisory Board in Oregon and recently formed The Fruitingbodies Podcast to discuss things like healing justice, and psychedelic news.
